Samos, the birthplace of philosopher
and mathematician Pythagoras, is lush and humid with mountains skirted by
pine, sycamore and oak-forested hills. This beautiful island is situated just
off the Turkish mainland, and you can easily reach Kusadasi in Turkey from
this island, as there are 1-2 ships to and from the turkish port every day.
Day trips are easy to arrange at the port.
